What Are Field Goal Post?
Feb 26, 2024The field goal post are the tall yellow post that can be seen in the back of each end zone.
These posts are used on extra point and field goal attempts.
There are two terms to know for field goal post:
1) Goal Post: Refers to the tall parallel poles. The goal of kicking field goals and extra points is to kick the ball between the goal post.
2) Cross Bar: Refers to the pole that holds up both goal post.
